Meet Chetan:

Chetan is a policy nerd and PAC wizard who has worked on all sorts of campaigns and issue based causes.

Chetan got his start in politics in Washington State serving as the Head of Federal Policy for nonprofit Raise the Voices, having been a volunteer there for a year. During that, Chetan helped fight for victims of Police Violence, worked with members of Congress to help injured protesters in Iraq, and advocated for the Belarus Democracy, Human Rights and Sovereignty Act of 2020, which successfully passed the House, the Senate, was signed by the president and passed into law in December 2020.

Chetan then transitioned to campaigning for electoral candidates.

As Youth Team Director for Andrew Grant Houston's Seattle Mayoral run, Chetan organized and recruited a team of 35+ youth, and hired a team of 8 youth team “leads”, paying them each a living wage. He also created a wildly successful textbanking operation, organizing the sending of 1.5 million text messages in Seattle, using targeting tactics.

As an Associate with Prism West, Chetan helped develop clients' field programs and campaigns, including training them on critical systems like Votebuilder.

Chetan then realized that electoral politics cant change if the systems- and the money- are stacked against progressives across the board.

He entered a hiatus of campaigns for the foreseeable future, and instead shifted his energy to nonprofit work.

He was first hired into the Alliance for Gun Responsibility as a Fellow, doing grunt work legislative session tasks. During the 2022 elections, he got to put his political consulting field work to the test, helping run the Alliance’s Independent Expenditure Program. At the end of 2022, he was promoted to Field Organizer, where he organized volunteers to support gun violence prevention policies in the 2023 legislative session. After decades of hard work in the GVP movement- we passed an Assault Weapons Ban in WA State. At the end of his Field Organizer tenure, he took lead on a first of its kind School Board PAC, and helped run the successful 2023 Independent Expenditure program, which successfully elected Susanna Johnson (among others) to defeat a MAGA extremist Snohomish County Sheriff. Soon after, Chetan was promoted to Operations Coordinator at the Alliance, helping streamline finances and operations.

In the beginning of 2024, Chetan took a new role doing what he loves- PAC and legislature work. As Political Action Manager with Children's Campaign Fund Network, he now helps build political power for kids through their PAC and 501c4.

In his free time, Chetan loves to cook, bake, and is the board president of Washington Youth Alliance.
